Motley Flower is the artist alias of Nick Supreeda Sotawong. He has been steadily releasing music, with his serious journey as an artist beginning during the COVID-19 pandemic when everything came to a halt, giving him the chance to focus deeply on music production.
To understand the roots of Nick’s artistry, we need to look back to his time living in California, USA. There, he was influenced by a wide range of music genres including rock, funk, electronic, and alternative. This diverse musical background shapes Motley Flower’s sound, which blends electronic-pop with a variety of influences.
Motley Flower’s songs reflect the full spectrum of human emotions—happiness, sorrow, hope—and his artistic identity also incorporates unique elements of fashion and visual art that set him apart, making his image unforgettable.
the songs of Nick in the album were inspired by moments that might arise during casual conversations at parties — moments that offer new perspectives rarely found in everyday life. Some tracks were sparked by humorous gossip, stories so amusing they felt worth sharing through music.
When you look closely, these moments represent the colors of life — much like a flower that feels full of vitality when blooming on a tree. Once picked and placed in a vase, it brings brightness to a room. As it begins to wither, it becomes a dried flower filled with memories.
This is the story of Magnolia, Motley Flower’s first studio album — an invitation to experience life’s beauty, humor, and sentiment through music.
